Training for Today's Workforce
St. Charles Community College is part of a consortium of Missouri public two-year colleges, called MoWINS, that will collaborate to implement training for careers in growing transportation, manufacturing, information technology, health services/health sciences and science support.
SCC currently offers these exciting career training programs:
- Accelerated Java Programming
- Certified Production Technician Training
- Entry-Level Welding
- Green Production Training (PDF)
Grant funding available for qualified applicants who meet DOL eligibility requirements:
- TAA (Trade Adjustment Assistance) individuals
- Veterans and spouses of veterans
- Unemployed (or impending layoff)
- Underemployed (as defined by DOL)
- Low-Skilled (as defined by DOL)
The $20 million MoHealthWINs served more than 4,200 individuals, many of whom moved into one of four career pathways in high-demand healthcare fields: health informatics, therapeutic services, diagnostic services and support services. This grant has ended.
SCC created or improved several Allied Health Programs utilizing MoHealthWINs funds.
While grant funding has come to an end, these programs are still available to SCC students seeking a healthcare occupational training.
