Campus Police moved into this new, completed building in 2021. The building and security upgrades were funded by Proposition Community College.

Life Science Building (11-LS)

The Life Science Building building houses several general education classes. As part of the Proposition Community College project, it is the home of five new science labs, additional classrooms, offices and student study areas.

Campus Lake Apartments (14-CLA)

The Campus Lake Apartments offer modern and affordable student housing options for SCC students. It features fully furnished units with all utilities included, including wi-fi and cable. The complex can house up to 130 students, spread among various unit configurations. Learn more

The Center for Healthy Living (CHL)

This two-story building in Dardenne Prairie is SCC's newest. Institutional focus is on healthy and sustainable living, with most courses centered on the healthcare field.

One of the largest campus buildings houses more than 20 classrooms over two floors and an auditorium, lounge, the ACE Tutoring Center and various faculty and administrative offices. Parking is available in the Yellow and Purple lots.

The private study rooms, a small TV studio and a cluster of classrooms all accompany this two-story building’s main feature, the Paul and Helen Schnare Library. Parking is available in the Blue lot.

College Meadows Park

College Meadows Park

A nine-hole disc golf course and separate outdoor fitness trail are the key features of the 80-acre College Meadows Park. The park connects with nearby greenways and is open year-round.

Dip your toes in the sand at the outdoor volleyball court. Volleyballs may be checked out with a valid photo ID any time the College Center Fitness Center desk is open. Please read all rules and safety guidelines posted courtside.

A stretch along Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Ohmes Rd. provides scenic terrain for a .67-mile paved trail constructed by Great Rivers Greenway. The segment links trails from Cotteville’s Legacy Park with Woodlands Park in St. Peters.

A natural amphitheater sits west of Mid Rivers Mall Drive and one of two campus lakes, providing a setting for outdoor movies in the summer and early fall. Parking is available in the Orange and Red lots.

Bleachers and lawn seating are available at the men’s and women’s soccer field at the corner of Ohmes Rd. and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Watch the Cougars compete in NJCAA Division I from August to late October. Parking is available in the Orange lot.

Baseball Field

Cheer on the Cougars every spring as they challenge their rivals from around the region. SCC is a member of NJCAA Division I and competes in the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference. Parking is available in the Orange lot.

Support the SCC Cougars as they take the field March-May, competing with colleges from around the Midwest. SCC is a member of NJCAA Division I and participates in the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference. Parking is available in the Orange lot.

Campus parking lots are open-access to all visitors, students and employees.

SCC Main Building

The three-level SCC Main Building is distinguished by its glass-like stairwell "tower," triangular windows and other interesting architectural focal points. The building houses classrooms, labs, administrative offices and faculty suites. 

About 100,000 square feet, the SCC Main Building is the largest of the four buildings in Phase 1 of campus construction completed in late 1991.

Schnare Library is the two-story home of the Paul and Helen Schnare Library and the Adult Education and Literacy Department. There also are several classrooms and offices, as well as the Excelerator

Part of Phase 1 campus construction completed in late 1995, the Schnare Library is about 42,000 square feet.

Shook Theatre Building

This one-story building named after the college's founding president has about 44,000 square feet of space including a 407-seat theater. Part of the Phase 2 construction project completed in 1995, it is home to Center Stage Theatre and Young People's Theatre productions and music concerts. The building also houses a scene shop, music and dance rooms, the SCC Box Office and an art gallery that holds several exhibitions each semester. Purchase Tickets Online at stchastickets.com.

McGuire Hall Building

This two-story building named after the college's second president has about 42,000 square feet of space. Part of the Phase 2 construction project completed in 1995, it houses the college's Corporate & Community Development Division including continuing education and community and business programs, the Division of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as additional classrooms, offices and storage space for various academic disciplines.

Technology Building

All classrooms in this two-story Technology Building, home to SCC's core of technology-based courses, incorporate the latest in computer hardware and software, and the building is wired with fiber optic cable to allow the full range of voice, data and video in each room. The building also houses offices and student lounge areas.

Part of the Phase 3 construction project, the 41,868-square-foot building was completed in time for spring 2001 classes.

Student Center Building

This two-level building is a multi-purpose activity area for student organizations, athletics, recreation and special events, meetings and exhibits. The Fitness Center provides fitness assessment and a complete weight machine circuit as well as cardio equipment. A gymnasium and a unique lobby/rotunda allow the building to accommodate large college and community events.

Part of the Phase 3 construction project, the 57,527-square-foot building, along with three athletic fields (softball, baseball and a multipurpose field), was completed in time for spring 2001 classes.

Campus Services Building

This building contained 16,000 square feet of space in the first construction phase and was enlarged by 4,000 square feet in Phase 2. It houses central heating and air conditioning, receiving and storage areas, mail room, and copying.

Visual Arts Building

The Visual Arts Building is home to the visual arts programs; it houses 10 art studios for pottery (ceramics and clay), print making, photography, graphic design, painting, drawing, jewelry making and sculpture.

Part of the Phase 4 construction project, the 20,890-square-foot building was completed in August 2006.

Life Sciences Building

New science labs, along with additional classrooms, offices and student study areas, were part of the 2021-2022 renovations funded by Proposition Community College. The renovations create more expansive learning environments for students while also creating the potential for growth in STEM programs.

Named for one of SCC's first Board of Trustees members, this two-story building houses a number of classrooms, an auditorium, and administrative offices including the president of the college, on the second floor. 
The 87,687-square-foot building was completed in August 2006, and is one of three buildings completed during the Phase 4 construction project

The Field to Table Institute brings together culinary, agriculture and healthcare, teaching the concept of going directly from the field to the table, and the connection between farming, food, health care and quality of life. In addition to credit programs, the Field to Table Institute also offers community-based courses in food, gardening, health and sustainability.

A teaching classroom/lab for plant science, crop initiation, season extension and experiential learning.

Freight Farm

A hydroponic, vertical, indoor farm run from an app. 320 sq. ft. produces the same as a 3 acre field. Example of urban farming techniques.

provides space for storage of farming implements and equipment as well as harvest processing and experiential learning.
