Get ready for an immersive learning experience. In partnership with Dreamscape Learn, an innovative educational platform that integrates Virtual Reality (VR) and cinematic storytelling, SCC’s Center for Immersive Learning offers students the unique opportunity to be immersed in their studies.

The first higher education institution in the Midwest to open a Dreamscape Learn educational center, SCC is a trailblazer by incorporating leading-edge technology and VR experiences into their courses.

Designed to complement traditional teaching methods, students learn complex topics through an engaging, interactive learning experience. Many SCC classes are finding new and engaging ways to utilize the Center for Immersive Learning’s unique platform. Starting with biology, plans are already underway to expand into other areas of study, including science, history, and much more.

Innovation Shapes Student Success

SCC’s Chief of Staff Betsy Schneider explained the Center for Immersive Learning’s goal was to focus on innovation and student success.

“When they compared a class that didn't have the immersive learning experience with the classes that had the immersive learning experience, same curriculum other than that, the students that had gone through the immersive environments were seeing up to a two letter increase in letter grade."
