Learn at SCC’s new Regional Workforce Innovation Center in Wentzville
SCC's Electrician program trains students in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You'll learn to service residential, commercial, and industrial systems, ensuring code compliance and performing preventative maintenance.
SCC's Industrial Trades programs teach students in-demand skills to prepare them for careers in a variety of industry and service sectors. All students complete core foundation courses in computer hardware/software applications, math, science, CAD, and electronics.
You'll also complete specialized courses related to electrical theory, wiring methods, circuit analysis, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Graduates will be prepared to work as entry-level electricians and can apply their course credits to future degrees. Students already employed in the electrical or construction trades can build additional skills in this program to advance in their career.

Program Information
SCC provides students with a comprehensive study in electrical contracting. You'll take courses in electronics, industrial mathematics, motors & controls, and more. We will train you to read blueprints, interpret wiring diagrams, and install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
You'll graduate prepared for apprentice-level electrician jobs that are in high demand. The credits you earn may also be used toward future degree programs.
At SCC, You Will:
- Service residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ensure code compliance with the NEC and local regulations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and electrical inspections.
