SCC Resources and Support Services for Students

SCC is committed to student success, and there are many services available to help you achieve your educational and personal goals. These services are free for currently enrolled students, and include resource materials, tutoring, counseling and accessibility arrangements.

ACE (Academic Career Enhancement) Tutoring  Center

Social Sciences Building (SSB), Room 2201

The ACE Tutoring Center helps students in the areas of math, science, writing across the curriculum and a whole range of study skills (e.g., time management, test-taking, critical thinking, etc.). In addition, the ACE Tutoring Center occasionally offers qualified tutors for individual courses (e.g., economics, French, Spanish). The ACE Tutoring Center also has an array of study aids that students are welcome to use. These resources include textbooks, videos, CDs, software, anatomical models and handouts.

Students also have access to an open computer lab in the ACE Tutoring Center. This lab contains 87 computers for individual student use.

Free tutoring sessions are available by appointment, and they typically last 30 minutes. Appointments can be made by calling 636-922-8444; appointments are also handled on a walk-in basis as staff availability allows. More detailed information about the ACE Tutoring Center hours, policies, and services can be found by visiting the campus website and also by clicking on the ACE tab on the Canvas home page.

Students will need to provide documentation of their disability to be eligible for accommodations along with an interview with the Disability Services Manager. You can find more information about documentation requirements on our website at.

For an interview you should contact the manager, Paige George, at or 636-922-8247.
