SCC Jazz Camp

The SCC Performing Arts Department is excited to once again host the SCC Jazz Camp to bring you some of the top jazz educators and performers in the country. This big band camp is designed for enthusiastic instrumental students; grades 7 and older to learn more about jazz style, improvisation, and performance. The camp is open to middle school, high school and college students along with interested community members. All participants must have at least one year of study on their instrument.

The camp features classes in jazz improvisation and ear training, as well as instrumental master classes. Big band rehearsals include rhythm sectionals and combos, and participants enjoy professional performances by the guest faculty each afternoon.
