Physical Education

College Center

Physical Education courses at St. Charles Community College offer academic credit to assist the student with personal development and transfer credit degree requirements. The transferability of the Physical Education courses varies greatly among four-year institutions. Students should refer to the college catalogs of the institutions to which they intend to transfer and/or make an appointment with an academic counselor in the Student Development Department, to verify the transferability of individual Physical Education courses.

The mission of Physical Education is to promote health and wellness concepts by providing an introductory level of both academic and activity classes.  We seek development of student awareness and ability in issues of health, wellness, personal physical skills and the discipline of Physical Education.

St. Charles Community College is committed to preparing the student both academically and physically.  We believe a Holistic approach to the enhancement of self, both mentally and physically, strengthens an individual and better prepares them to embrace life's challenges.
