Mission Statement
To promote academic excellence in our students and instructors in a broad range of science courses.
Our Program Learning Outcomes
1) Quantitative Reasoning: Upon completion of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, students will be able to quantitatively analyze and apply chemistry theories to solve problems.
2) Critical Thinking: Upon completion of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, students will be able to critically analyze and apply general chemistry and organic chemistry concepts.
3) Laboratory-Critical Thinking and Quantitative Reasoning: Upon completion of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, students will be able to conduct experiments, analyze data and interpret results using the proper laboratory procedure and safe handling of chemicals.
About Our Courses
All science courses will promote general education and science literacy. Science literacy may include a working knowledge of the scientific method, and familiarity with historic and contemporary scientific theory, in the context of global cultural awareness.
