Timberland seniors celebrated at Signing Day event
Published: 04/03/2019
St. Charles Community College hosted a special Signing Day event on April 2 for Timberland High School seniors who have chosen to purse their educational career at SCC in fall 2019.
Similar to signing events for high school student athletes, SCC is pleased and would like to welcome these Timberland High School seniors to SCC.
“We are honored to have had Timberland High School today at St. Charles Community College as part of the Be Ready Program,” said Tammie De Los Santos, associate dean of workforce and educational partnerships. “These students have the opportunity to visit campus and learn about all the valuable resources that SCC has to offer, prior to them starting classes in the fall.”
The mission of the Be Ready Program centers on partnering with high schools and working with students throughout their senior year by helping them navigate the admissions, financial aid and registration process. Timberland High School is one of 17 high schools that are part of Be Ready.
“SCC is proud to offer this type of support and guidance to future students,” De Los Santos said.
This signing event is the second of a series lined up for area high school students during the month of April.
On April 2, Timberland High School seniors pledged their commitment to pursue an education at St. Charles Community College in the fall.
