SCC Young People's Theatre to present 'Shrek The Musical' March 21-30

Published: 03/05/2014

“Shrek The Musical” will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 21-22 and 28-29, and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 22-23 and March 29-30.  Tickets are $9 for all ages. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.

Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig, the musical is set in a faraway kingdom that is turned upside down when an ugly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a talkative donkey, a bad guy, a cookie with attitude and more than a dozen other fairytale misfits, and you get a mess that calls for a real hero.

YPT cast members include Alia Aaron, Dani Baker, Candence and Carlin Bippen, Brock and Stone Birkner, Bailey Blessing, Amanda Blythe, Dan Borrelli, Sam Bottini, Zac Cary, Emma Chesbrough, Jimmy and Joey Coogan, John Emery, Andrew Feigenbaum, Natasha Ferkel, Thomas Fischer, Luke Gottreu, Josiah Haan, Hannah Haedike, Maille Hanson, Taryn Herbst, Jessica Kahn, Sydney Koehler, Grace Kotraba, Becca Krauss, Luke and Daniel Larabee, Jordan Marshall, Zoe Meier, Rain Northtrop, Gillian and Alex Pendel, Andrew Salmo, Mariah Skelly, Anna and Lacy Slezak, Madeleine Smith, Benjamin Stanley, Mitchell Stille, Emily Turner, Renee and Stephanie Voteau, CJ and Becca Waligurski, and Joe and Rachel Weidig.
