More than 1,150 friends and neighbors packed the St. Charles Community College campus for the sixth annual Rhythm and Ribs fundraiser on June 4. Ticket sales, raffle and donations raised more than $41,500. Proceeds will support scholarships and academic program enhancements at SCC. Read more.

Shirley Lohmar appointed to SCC Board of Trustees

Shirley Lohmar appointed to SCC Board of Trustees    News

Shirley Lohmar was appointed to a St. Charles Community College Board of Trustee’s seat in June. The seat became open after her late husband, the Honorable William T. Lohmar Jr., vice president of the SCC Board of Trustees, passed away in May. She will hold the seat until the April 2016 election. Read more.

St. Charles Community College President Ron Chesbrough, Ph.D., was elected as Missouri Campus Compact (MOCC) Executive Committee chair at the Council of Presidents meeting in June. He has been a member of the committee since February 2014. Read more.

SCC Young People’s Theatre takes home Arts for Life Awards for ‘Shrek’    News

St. Charles Community College’s Young People’s Theatre (YPT) won Best Youth Production 2014 for Shrek at Arts for Life Best Performance Awards gala. In addition, two YPT performers also won awards; Jordan Marshall won Best Youth Supporting Actress for her portrayal as Dragon, and Luke Gottreu won Best Youth Lead Actor for his portrayal as Lord Farquaad.
