Article IV.32 Civility & Conduct: Policy

All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and ethical environment, both on and off campus, and maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty in their work, including treating each other with respect and dignity. Employees should refrain from engaging in behavior (written, verbal or non-verbal) that is threatening, intimidating, or harassing. Abusive conduct will not be allowed. This includes the use of profanity; personally insulting remarks; attacks on a person’s race, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability; and/or behaviors that are disruptive to the College environment or interfere with the rights of others to use college facilities and services. Interactions include, but are not limited to, telephone or text conversations; voice mail messages; face-to-face conversations; e-mail and written correspondence; or on College social media.

Employees are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and polices, procedures, and established guidelines of the College. Employees must avoid any situation that might create a conflict of interest or appearance of a conflict of interest. Harassment or discrimination of any kind, including sexual harassment, racial harassment, and other forms of harassment or discrimination, will not be tolerated.
