Local Youths to Perform "The Nutcracker" Dec. 17-19 at SCC

The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 17-18, and at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 18-19. An additional performance will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19. Tickets are $7 for all ages. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.

The legend of The Nutcracker lives on in this captivating play. At a gala Christmas Eve party, Clara’s godfather presents her with an amazing nutcracker in the form of a wooden soldier. Too excited to sleep, she suddenly finds the Nutcracker brought to life – a handsome prince who is under the wicked enchantment of the Mouse King. Clara joins him in a series of exciting adventures as he seeks to regain his throne. Fantasy and reality mingle to recreate a classic and wonderful holiday production.

Cast members from St. Peters include Carlin Bippen, Cadence Bippen, Bailey Blessing, Margaret Borgmeyer, Jennifer Brown, Luke Gottreu, Jessica Kahn, Leah Koclanes, Conner Larabee, Gillian Pendel, Christian Witte and Sarah York.

Cast members from St. Charles include Zac Cary, Annie Gardner, Ali Gibbs, Madi Gibbs, Anna Johnston, Kayla Kochan, Sydney Koehler, Emma Koehler, Aurielle Macchi, Linda Marsala-Joyce, Amelia Martin, Angel Moore, Ashlyn Sappington, Corinne Wilger and Cidney Woodson. 

Members of the cast from O’Fallon include Alia Aaron, Audrey Buso, Sylvia Buso, Jake Condellire, Jacob Feldt, Kamden Hamburger, Taryn Herbst, Grayson Jostes, Becca Krauss, Ali Pinkerton, Katie Scheffer and Brendan Woods. Cast members from Lake St. Louis include Joey Coogan, Jimmy Coogan, Matthew Doll, Allison Engelage and Ridley Helme.

Additional cast members include Evan Fornachon and Vyctoria Vaughan of Maryland Heights, Nicole Porter of Weldon Springs, Abbie Campbell and Sarah Engelskirchen of Wentzville, and Patricia Villegas of Dardeen Prairie.

“The Nutcracker” is written by June Walker Rogers. This show has been produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Ill.

The Young People’s Theatre is a performing arts program by kids and their families for kids and their families produced by the SCC Corporate and Community Development Division.
