Part-time, appointments made on a semester-by-semester basis teaching in one of the listed subjects:  anthropology, art, art/printmaking, criminal justice, English as a second language, English/literature, foreign language, geography, global culture/global studies, graphic design, history, human services, journalism, motion graphics, music, philosophy, photography, political science, psychology, reading, sociology, speech/communications and theater.

Most positions require a Master's degree in related field or a Master's degree and at least 18 graduate hours in related field.

Currently Needed:

  • Art Instructors. Studio artists and art historians are needed. Master’s degree in related field or Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in related field required.
  • Art/Printmaking Instructors. Master’s degree and experience in Printmaking required. Teaching experience required. Please send 10-20 images of your own artwork and 10-20 images of work by your students (or you may send a link to a web page with those images posted).
  • Communications Instructors. Instructors needed to teach Intercultural Communication and/or Sports Communication. A Master's degree in Communication, Mass Communication or a related field required. Teaching experience preferred.
  • English Instructors. Instructors needed to teach English composition. A Master's degree in English required.
  • ESL Instructors. Instructors needed to teach reading, writing, oral skills and composition in English as a Second Language. Master’s degree in TSOL or related field required. More than 15 graduate credits in English a plus.
  • Graphic Design Instructors. Designers and practitioners in the field preferred. BFA required. Areas of emphasis include page layout, digital imaging and illustration, typography, package design, web and interactive design, animation and motion graphics, video production, portfolio building, etc.
  • Photography Instructors. Instructors needed to teach photography in the art program: traditional black & white darkroom photography as well as digital photography with expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop required. A Master's degree in Fine Art (MFA) is required.
  • Private Music Lesson Instructors. All instruments needed.
  • Psychology Instructors. Psychology instructors should have a Master’s degree or above in Psychology, with teaching experience in Intro, Human Growth and Development, Social Psych or Abnormal Psych. Counseling degrees will not be considered.
  • Reading Instructors. Instructors needed to teach developmental reading and college-level reading and study skills. Master's in reading or closely related field required.
  • Sociology Instructors. Master's degree in Sociology required.
