Doctorate in education, University of Missouri; Master of Science Teaching degree, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Illinois Wesleyan University; Bachelor of Arts, Bradley University.
Teaches Pre-Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra and math courses for future teachers and para-professional educators. Several awards, including national-level 2010 William H. Meardy Faculty Member Award and the Central Regional Faculty Member Award by the Association of Community College Trustees. Involved with SCC's Achieving Success With Math program, which tackles math competency. Developed and implemented SCC's Education Program (and served as the program's coordinator for 20 years), the Associate of Arts in Teaching program, and the Associate of Applied Science degree for education paraprofessionals.
