Ryan Robertson was elected to a six-year term with the St. Charles Community College Board of Trustees in April 2010 and became president of the board in 2012. He had previously served as an appointed member since March 2008, serving as the board’s treasurer and then as vice president. Robertson is regional director for Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Robertson was a standout basketball player for the 1995 St. Charles West High School state champions. He went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Kansas where he was a member of three conference and Big 12 Tournament championship teams. Following graduation, Robertson was a second-round NBA draft choice by the Sacramento Kings where he played in 1999-2000. He continued his professional basketball career with stints in the American Basketball Association for Kansas City (2000-01), and for Holland (2001-04) and France and Greece (2004-05).
Throughout his high school and collegiate career, Robertson was the recipient of several academic and athletic awards including Academic All-American (1999), McDonald’s High School All American (1995), and USA Today’s Missouri Player of the Year (1994 and 1995).
Robertson is a Licensed Registered Representative, an agent licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell securities. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.
Robertson and his family currently live in Weldon Spring, Mo. He and his wife, Andrea, are the parents of a daughter, Kylie, and a son, J.D.
