Robert R. Proost was elected to a six-year term with the St. Charles Community College Board of Trustees in April 2008. He served as treasurer of the board April 2010-April 2012 and is current board vice president.
Proost is semi-retired and has an extensive background in building homes, commercial buildings, apartments and land development in three area counties. He has been in business for himself for more than 40 years, and is the owner of Blue Ribbon Real Estate Co. Among his accolades, he is the recipient of four Homer Awards by the St. Louis Home Builders Association.
Proost has lived and worked in St. Charles County for more than 52 years, and is proud of the area’s growth and development.
Proost is a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Cottleville, the Loyal Order of the Squirrels and has served as a board member of the United States Selective Service Commission for 15 years.
Proost and his late wife, Louise, have two daughters and four grandchildren. He currently resides in O’Fallon, Mo. In his spare time he enjoys fishing and playing golf.
