Dear Faculty and Staff:

As we prepare for the start of the first summer session, I wanted to say “thank you” for your good efforts in contributing to a successful spring semester. The plethora of activities during the end of the semester seemed to condense months into weeks as our calendars filled with many wonderful events and celebrations that highlighted and recognized our students, especially Commencement. In addition to a beautiful day, our keynote speaker, Art Holliday, delivered an inspiring and memorable message. It is always gratifying to watch our students receive recognition for accomplishing their educational goals.

At the Board of Trustees meeting last night, Drew Bowdish, SGA President, introduced the new 2019-20 SGA officers:

     President: Grey Rische
     Vice President: Fernanda Pasillas
     Secretary: Sophia Calignaoan
     Treasurer: Katelyn Montanaro
     Parliamentarian: Rachel Verbeck

Also at the Board meeting, the Trustees approved an amendment to policy Article IV.07, which makes the Friday of Spring Break an official college holiday.

This will be the last Touch Base Tuesday for the academic year. I hope you and your family have a safe and enjoyable summer. Again, thank you for your service to SCC.
