Dear Faculty and Staff:
I am happy to share that the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) at its March meeting of the Board of Commissioners granted continuing accreditation to the SCC Associate Degree Nursing program. The next scheduled evaluation visit is set for Fall 2028. The ACEN commended the flexibility, courage, and resiliency demonstrated by the nursing program faculty and leaders and SCC’s institutional colleagues during the global pandemic. The ACEN extended their thanks to the program’s leadership for maintaining high standards while providing outstanding support to students and our communities. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

I’d like to thank the panel of faculty and administrators, as well as Sara Evers with the St. Charles County Public Health Department, who led a discussion about the COVID-19 vaccine streamed live on YouTube last Wednesday. The goal of the panel was to dispel fear, address misinformation, and talk about the safety of the vaccine. It is available here for replay on the SCC YouTube Channel.
