Dear Faculty and Staff:

We received information from the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing that we successfully met all the accreditation requirements for our nursing program:

The Board of Commissioners voted to affirm the current accreditation status of the associate nursing program, as the program is in compliance with all Accreditation Standards and Criteria reviewed during the onsite verification visit.

This good news affirms the excellent work of our faculty and the quality of education experienced by the students in our nursing program.

Spring is such a beautiful time at SCC! It’s a busy time too. I want to take a moment to highlight some wonderful events taking place soon that you may enjoy.

Please consider attending the Spring 2022 Student Art Exhibition at St. Charles Community College, which runs from April 25th - May 7th.

Touch Base Tuesday_4_26_22_C.jpgThe FY22 Planning and Budget Retreat was held at Innsbrook April 21-22. This yearly retreat is for SCC representatives from faculty, staff, and student leadership to discuss budget principals and how proposals fit into the strategic plan and align with our five goals of Student Success; Developing Our People; Accountability; Innovation; Diversity. Cabinet members presented several proposals for one-time expenditures. Lest you think it was a boring endeavor, I am happy to report that the team building portion of the program was very enjoyable to all. The creativity and positive energy that is generated by these exercises allowed participants the opportunity to learn more about each other.

SCC All College Day Celebration is April 29 and while I mentioned this last week I wanted to add if you intend on doing a tour of the remodel in the ADM and Science building you must wear closed toed shoes for safety reasons. Please be sure to follow any instructions and signage while taking the tour. I have attached a copy of the agenda for your review.
