Dear Faculty and Staff:

Last week, Missouri Community College Association hosted a Legislative Coffee in the State Capitol. Following this event, I participated in a meeting with the MCCA Presidents and Chancellors. Here are a few updates from that meeting:

  • According to State Budget Director Dan Haug, the current 7% drop in revenue compared to this time last year is due to individual income tax collections. It is believed that this will be corrected following the tax season. Currently there are no plans for a withhold.
  • Senate Bill 17, the community college pension fix bill, was passed by the Senate.
  • Each CEO shared information related to his/her enrollment as of last week’s meeting:

As a reminder, All College Day is planned for this Friday, February 15. The morning session begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by the afternoon session at 12:45 p.m.  I look forward to seeing you on Friday.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Best wishes,
