Dear Faculty and Staff:

‘Twas the week before break and all through the grounds,
The parking lots emptied with no students around.

With utmost of care, faculty posted all grades,
As students checked Canvas to see what they made.

Meetings were held with all the best intent,
With travels to Jeff City leaving us content.
OTA looks good, maybe a bachelor’s degree?
Collaborate with universities? That suits us to a tee.

On Friday in Wentzville I heard GM say,
With $1 billion investment, jobs are here to stay.
I met with Mayor Dan earlier that day,
His vision for expansion was my takeaway.

Last week a student opera graced our stage,
A full agenda at President’s Council saw members engaged.
Todd presented a plan that caused great cheer,
Building closures this summer are strictly volunteer.

As offices wind down and wrap up their business,
We see hearts lifted, I know, I have witnessed.
So, I’ll speak few more words as we dash out of sight,
To all, a wonderful break, may your days (off) be bright!
