Dear Faculty and Staff:

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Third Annual Chuck Wagon Chili Cook-Off last week. Together, we raised $300 to support future SCC events and $100 to support student scholarships! Congratulations to the Police Department for taking the first place prize for chili.

The Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign launched today. In the midst of holiday shopping, Giving Tuesday on Nov. 27, is a reminder that this is also a time of year to give back to the community. Every gift to the SCC Foundation, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, makes a difference to our students. Here at SCC you can give now and any day leading up to and on Giving Tuesday, and the first $10,000 in gifts to departments will be matched by the Foundation. As a reminder, our annual benefits open enrollment is going on now through the end of the week – Nov. 9 – for benefits to be effective Jan. 1, 2019. Everyone with coverage will need to log in to the Gallagher Marketplace and elect coverage for next year. The Benefits Advocate Center can help answer questions about SCC’s benefits at 877-342-1936 or bac.stchas@ajg.com. We are also currently taking nominations for President’s Awards. The President’s Council will select one faculty member and one staff member this December so be sure to submit your nominations to presidentsaward@stchas.edu by Wednesday, Dec. 5.
