Dear Faculty and Staff:
On Oct. 21, I was joined by Lindenwood University President Dr. John Porter to sign a Memorandum of Agreement, strengthening the relationship between our two institutions and expanding the number of transferable courses. This is a great opportunity for SCC students to continue their education right here in St. Charles County. The agreement will develop dual admissions and reverse transfer processes between LU and SCC and ensure transferability of courses within students’ degree programs. Additionally, LU will provide special tuition rates for SCC graduates with up to $12,000 in scholarships. Dr. Porter and I were joined by leaders from both institutions.

SCC student athlete Ryan Pendergast has been awarded the NJCAA Division III Male National Athlete of the Week in Cross Country for his recent 27:11 8k performance. This result appears to be the second fastest 8k in the NJCAA DIII this season. Be sure to offer best wishes to the members of the men’s and women’s Cross Country Team as they prepare for the National Championship in November!
Faculty and staff – it’s time to encourage our current students to register for the Spring 2021 Semester. The credit class schedule includes additional face-to-face classes in addition to remote (virtual face-toface) and traditional online class options. Thank you – we all play a role in enrollment and retention! Remember – open enrollment is here. SCC’s annual benefit open enrollment continues through Nov. 8. In order to have insurance benefits in 2021, faculty and staff must log in and make benefit elections during the above time frame, even if there will be no change to your current coverages.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, we as a nation will exercise our most important civic responsibility – voting in the Presidential Election. I encourage you to take the time to plan your vote.
Have a wonderful week,
Barbara
