Dear Faculty and Staff:

I hope you are having a wonderful week! 

Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with the new president of Lindenwood University, Mr. John Porter.  It was a great opportunity to welcome him to the community a talk more about how we can work together.

Last Wednesday through Friday I was joined in San Francisco by Trustee Cilek, Trustee Stodden, Trustee Mack and Trustee Pundmann for the annual ACCT Conference.  We look forward to sharing information from the sessions at the next Board of Trustees meeting.

November 1 is the last day for eligible staff to turn in their Career Progression Evaluation forms and supporting documentation to Human Resources.  The forms must have all of the necessary signatures prior to being turned in.

Open Enrollment is going on now for eligible faculty and staff to enroll in insurance benefits for 2020.  The last day to enroll is Friday, November 1.Current year benefits do not automatically roll over, so it is important to click on the link in the enrollment email and complete the benefit enrollment process. The offerings selection has been enhanced by the addition of a confidential service to help those who must navigate Medicare-related decisions.

A few updates from L&D (Learning & Development):

• HR is tabulating the training attendance points earned from last fiscal year.  Be watching for a notice of your award  points in the next 2 weeks!  If you attended enough training to qualify for an award and you have not yet created a 3Cheers! account, you will want to visit HR’s portal page for help in accomplishing this.
• HR will soon be launching a new professional development opportunities portal page to help guide knowledge/skill development based on key categories. 

Finally, I look forward to seeing you at the fourth annual Chuck Wagon Chili Cook-Off this Friday from  11 a.m.-1 p.m. Please join us on the campus plaza to enjoy some great chili and help name this year’s winners.
