Procedures

Article IV.14 Employee Leave and Other Benefits Policy (effective July 1, 2021)

St. Charles Community College shall offer the following leave and other benefits to eligible employees in accordance with state and federal law and Administrative Procedures: 

  • College Holidays
    • New Year’s Day
    • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
    • Friday of Academic Spring Break
    • Spring Holiday (assigned to Good Friday unless otherwise assigned by College administration)
    • Memorial Day
    • Juneteenth
    • Independence Day
    • Labor Day
    • Day before Thanksgiving
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Day after Thanksgiving
    • Christmas Eve
    • Christmas Day
    • Weekdays which fall between observed Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays
    • One “floating holiday” each fiscal year as scheduled by College administration
  • Military Leave
  • Election Day Leave
  • Jury Duty Leave
  • Bereavement Leave
  • Tuition Reimbursement for Courses Taken at Other Institutions
  • Tuition Waiver for Courses Taken at St. Charles Community College
  • Corporate and Community Development Non-Credit Course Discount
  • Campus Store Discount
  • Tax Sheltered Annuities
  • Personal Leave of Absence
  • Family and Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA)
