It was a strong season for SCC’s athletic teams, Softball, Baseball, Track & Field, and Esports. SCC participates in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
SCC’s Softball team had their best finish in program history, taking third place in the NJCAA Region 16 Championships in Neosho. Their overall record was 37-21. Coach Dustin Wengert was recognized for 100 wins and was named Coach of the Year by the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference.
SCC’s Baseball team also finished in third place at the NJCAA Region 16 Championships in Joplin. Their overall record was 27-34-1.
Matthew Hoeft from the Track and Field team finished fifth in the Long Jump at the 2025 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Utica, New York, in May.
In their first season of competition in Spring 2025, the Esports team competed in the NJCAA Tier Three finals. They took second place in Overwatch and third place in Valorant.
