One-Stop-Shop

SCC has created a one-stop-shop for student veterans.  Admissions, financial aid counseling, academic advising and VA certification are now in one office with one counselor.  Contact Tomi Schwandt, financial assistance counselor and VA school certifying official, for assistance from admission to graduation!

Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services provides services to those students providing documented disability information, as addressed by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 (Rehabilitation Act).

ACE Center

The Academic and Career Enhancement (ACE) Center is a learning center dedicated to helping students achieve academic, professional and personal success by assisting them to improve their academic skills and study techniques. The ACE Center provides a variety of support services and materials to help students be successful in their college courses including:

• tutoring free of charge
• computer lab with Internet and word processing
• study skills assistance
• supplementary books and study guides
• ESL assistance
• First Alert Program

Athletics & Activities

Athletics and activities at SCC include several options for sports, fitness, clubs and events.

Campus Safety

In the case of an emergency, contact SCC’s Department of Public Safety at 636-922-8545, or call 911.

In addition to keeping SCC safe and secure, Department of Public Safety officers provide a number of services. From assisting motorists with lockouts and jump-starts, to providing an escort on campus at night, officers are available to assist students, employees and visitors.

Career Services Center

The Career Services Center assists students in achieving their career goals and supports employers in the community by connecting them with qualified employees.  Services are free and include:

• job search assistance
• career counseling
• career assessment
• resource library
• resume writing
• networking and interviewing
• internships
• annual job fair

Mental Health Counseling

A mental health counselor is available to assist all current St. Charles Community College credit students. If you have any personal issues that are interfering with your success, the counselor is here to help.

Returning Learners Workshop

SCC offers free workshops each semester to help the student who has been out of school for a number of years ease back into the classroom situation. Topics covered:

• goal-setting
• decision-making
• career exploration
• assertiveness training
• time and stress management
• college services
• study skills improvement.
