The SCC Foundation, in partnership with the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce, is proud to bring you the Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Night series.
Here's the summer lineup:
Friday, June 23: "Moana"
Friday, July 21: "Smurfs, The Lost Village"
Friday, Aug. 25: "Captain Underpants"
Friday, Sept. 22: "Despicable Me 3"
This year’s Food Truck Frolic events will take place on SCC’s Red parking lot. Each event will include over a dozen food trucks and up to 50 vendors from 5-8 p.m., with a family movie beginning at dusk.
Leading the events is our volunteer planning committee, chaired by Don Kalicak, Mercy Vice President for Regional Development. Board members from both the SCC Foundation and the CWS Chamber work simultaneously to make these events successful.
You are invited to bring your friends and family out to support a great cause – your community and your community college. The proceeds from the events will benefit both the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce and the SCC Foundation, providing much-needed scholarships as well as academic and program enhancements for the college.
If you are interested in learning how you can become a sponsor, vendor or volunteer for this year’s events, please contact us for more information.
Due to the severity of the forecast, CHOMP was cancelled on Friday, May 19. A make-up event is being planned. Stay tuned for more information.
We are ready to tee off again in support of education! The 21st annual Presidents Classic Golf Scramble will be held Monday, September 25 at Old Hickory Golf Club, St. Peters. This year’s tournament will feature 18 holes as a four-person scramble, two flights, and additional competitions throughout the course, lunch and an appetizer buffet following the tournament. All proceeds from the scramble support student scholarships, as well as academic and program enhancements for the college.
Richard Jensen of RX Systems, Inc. and Chuck Pilliod of Krey Distributing Company are this year’s volunteer committee co-chairs. SCC Foundation events are successful because members of our community volunteer their time, talents, and abilities to support our mission.
If you would like more information about how to get involved as a sponsor, a volunteer, or a team, please contact our office for details.
