The SCC Foundation, in partnership with the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce, is proud to bring the 2nd annual CHOMP Regional Food Truck and Music Festival to kick off this year’s Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Night series.
This year’s festivities kick off with CHOMP on Friday, May 19 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Located on the St. Charles Community College Campus, this year’s family-friendly festival will include:
- Up to 30 food trucks competing for prizes
- Live music from 5 to 10 p.m.
- Arts, merchandise, and other vendors
- Anheuser-Busch products by Krey Distributing Co.
Following the CHOMP Regional Food Truck and Music Festival, the Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Night series will continue throughout the summer. This year’s Food Truck Frolic events will take place on SCC’s Red parking lot on June 23, July 21, August 5, and September 22. Each event will include over a dozen food trucks and up to 50 vendors from 5-8 p.m., with a family movie beginning at dusk.
Leading the events is our volunteer planning committee, chaired by Don Kalicak, Mercy Vice President for Regional Development. Board members from both the SCC Foundation and the CWS Chamber work simultaneously to make these events successful.

We are ready to tee off again in support of education! The 21st annual Presidents Classic Golf Scramble will be held Monday, September 25 at Old Hickory Golf Club, St. Peters. This year’s tournament will feature 18 holes as a four-person scramble, two flights, and additional competitions throughout the course, lunch and an appetizer buffet following the tournament. All proceeds from the scramble support student scholarships, as well as academic and program enhancements for the college.
Richard Jensen of RX Systems, Inc. and Chuck Pilliod of Krey Distributing Company are this year’s volunteer committee co-chairs. SCC Foundation events are successful because members of our community volunteer their time, talents, and abilities to support our mission.
If you would like more information about how to get involved as a sponsor, a volunteer, or a team, please contact our office for details.
