Enrolling at SCC Is Simple!

St. Charles Community College maintains an open-admission policy.
Before registering for courses, all new students must complete an Application for Admission.

You may apply for admission anytime during the year. Admission to the college does not guarantee entrance into a particular course or program of study.

Which Path Best Describes You?

Select a path below that best describes you to find out more about the admission policy and process.

First-Time College Student

Students who have never attended college and have a high school diploma or GED diploma. A + students view additional guidelines.

Transfer Student

Students who have attended another college and earned college credit.

Just Want to Take
a Few Classes

Students who want to take less than 5 credit hours for personal interest or professional development.

Interested in Allied Health

Nursing, Practical Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Health Information Technology majors.

a High School Diploma

Students who have not received a high school diploma or a GED certificate.

High School Student

Junior or senior high school students who wish to earn college credit.

International Student

Students requesting an I-20 for an F-1 visa.

Resident Aliens/Visas Other Than F1

Students possessing a resident alien card or any other type of visa other than an F1.

Veterans

SCC is approved for certification of students eligible to receive educational assistance from the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).

Home-Schooled Student

Students who have been educated at home.

Students Under Age 16

Students who are under age 16 and wish to enroll.
