Mr. Darren Osburn of St. Charles Community College has received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The award, which was presented by the Missouri Community College Association at a ceremony in Jefferson City today, is given to the top community college teachers in the state each year. Dr. Ron Chesbrough, SCC president, accompanied Mr. Osburn as he accepted his award, which included a proclamation from Missouri Governor Jay Nixon.

Photos of Mr. Osburn and President Chesbrough receiving the award will be posted on the Missouri Community College Association’s Facebook page by midnight tonight.
