For community members looking to pursue their educational dreams and goals, who have hopes of transferring to a four-year institution, finding a good career, moving up in a current job or cultivating a hobby or an interest, St. Charles Community College offers several options for degrees and classes.
SCC currently is enrolling for the spring 2014 semester, admission is open to all students, and students may begin taking classes in January. SCC has a number of offerings for first-time college students, transfer students, returning learners, high school juniors and seniors who want to dual-enroll and high school students graduating in December who want to get an early start on taking college classes.
“Many jobs require a college education and the New Year is a great time to get started on educational goals,” said Chris Breitmeyer, vice president for academic and student affairs.
Breitmeyer offered his top 10 reasons to attend SCC:
