Thank you to everyone who participated in making the SCC Foundation’s Classic Golf Scramble a success. This is a wonderful event focused on raising scholarship funds for our students. Congratulations to our great staff in the Foundation Office: Betsy, Peggy, and Jessica – thank you!  As a reminder, the deadline for donations to ESP is October 5. Your contributions help support the success of our students.

    

It was a pleasure last week to host the first Tea with the President of the semester. As always, I enjoyed getting to know more about the members of our campus community. This was another wonderful group of individuals.

As a reminder to faculty and staff, pre-advising started last week. Our advising team is asking that you spread the word to students. Spring 2019 registration begins Oct. 15 for current and returning students. Students who need to schedule an appointment with an advisor should visit stchas.edu/appointment.

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Food Truck Frolic and our outdoor movie night last week. Community members gathered to watch Incredibles II on the Campus Plaza, and I am told food trucks sold out of food. Thank you to everyone who helped coordinate this wonderful event.

In case you did not see the portal announcement, last night the Board of Trustees meeting was cancelled because we did not have a quorum.  The meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
