Dear Faculty and Staff:
I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. My husband and I spent the holiday in NYC. In addition to watching the parade, I did a little shopping. Take a look at the attached file for a short video of Macy’s entrance. It is hard to believe that December is already here!
I have just a couple of highlights to share.
I hosted the most recent Tea With the President on Wednesday, Nov. 20. We enjoyed refreshments and some lively conversation. Pictured with me, from left are: Jay Scherder, director of marketing and communications; Charlene Jones, division office coordinator; Lance Gulley, maintenance technician; Todd Finoch, security systems architect; Nick Wallace, AV systems engineer; and Donna Davis, vice president for human resources/CHRO.
There was much activity associated with the International Education Week. Students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to taste some delicious food, shop for gifts, and listen to the music of some of the cultures represented at SCC during the International Festival and Market on Nov. 20. Kudos goes out to Martha Garcia-Kampen, chief diversity officer and chair of the BRIDGE Committee, as well as Student Activities and the many other faculty, staff and students who helped organize this event.
Best wishes for a wonderful week.
Barbara
