HLC Accreditation Visit
St. Charles Community College is proud to be accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and looks forward to a comprehensive evaluation to ensure they are meeting the HLC Criteria for Accreditation.
In November 2021, a team of peer reviewers from HLC will visit SCC. During the visit, the HLC team will conduct a comprehensive evaluation to confirm SCC continues to meet the Criteria for Accreditation, is pursuing institutional improvement and complies with requirements sets by the U.S. Department of Education allowing students to access Title IV funds.
How You Can Prepare for the HLC Visit
During the HLC visit, faculty and staff are welcome to attend open forums to share feedback with the peer reviewers. Additionally, you are encouraged to read SCC’s Assurance Argument, which will be made available in October 2021. This is the document that the HLC team will be studying in preparation of their visit.
