SCC Student Activities to Host Scary Movie Marathon Oct. 22-26

Movies will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, Oct. 22-26, with guest lectures starting at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Free popcorn will be available, and beverages and other snacks will be available to purchase.

SCC SCARY MOVIE MARATHON SCHEDULE: (All films rated R require that all attendees under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult upon entry.)

Monday, Oct. 22
6:30 p.m. – Lecture TBD
7 p.m. – Chernobyl Diaries (2012). This film is rated R.

Tuesday, Oct. 23
6:30 p.m. – “Horror and the Monstrous Feminine,” with Kate Weber, SCC adjunct professor of history.
7 p.m. – The Woman in Black (2012). This film is rated PG-13.

Wednesday, Oct. 24
6:30 p.m. – “The Evolution of the Vampire,” with Christy Gant, SCC instructor of English.
7 p.m. – Fright Night (2011). This film is rated R.

Thursday, Oct. 25
6:30 p.m. – “Bloody Mary: A Horrifying Reflection” with Mitch Harden, SCC adjunct faculty in psychology.
7 p.m. – The Cabin in the Woods (2012). This film is rated R.

Friday, Oct. 26
6:30 p.m. – “Zombifying Parasites – Nature’s Real-Life Horror Show,” with Rachel McShane, adjunct faculty in biology.
7 p.m. – Zombieland (2009). This film is rated R.
