Finding Articles and Reviews with SCC Library Indexes

The following databases are available off campus by students, faculty, and staff of SCC with a valid ID number. Search the databases for articles from magazines, journals, and/or newspapers.

History Reference Center

Access articles from history journals and specialized history reference books. This database also includes historical documents, biographies, and maps, as well as historical photos, films and videos.

Academic OneFile

Topics of the periodicals are varied, covering many different disciplines including history. Users can restrict their searches to peer reviewed articles.

Discovering Collection

This database has encyclopedia information on historical topics covering U.S. and world history.

World & I

Find global perspective articles on cultures, history, politics, and more; full-text 1986 to present.
