Finding Books on Music in the SCC Library
- Start with a keyword search in SCC's online catalog, Archway, or
- Click on one of the suggested subject headings below; you will be re-directed to the search results in the online catalog.
- If you need to expand your search to libraries outside of SCC, search MOBIUS. Ask at the reference desk if you need help, or give us a call at 636-922-8620.
Reference Books
To find a reference book by title, search the Archway catalog for the call number, or ask at the reference desk for help.

Finding Music CDs
In the Archway online catalog, search by composer or song title.
By composer:
Select an Author search and type the composer's last name first, for example, Bach, Johann Sebastian. You should see a list of sub-topics for the composer. From this screen, choose the Limit/Sort button at the top, then choose Audio-Music from the Material Type drop-down list. Next, click on the "Limit/sort items retrieved using above data" button.
By song title:
Select a Keyword search and type the piece's title in the search box. Again, choose the Limit/Sort button at the top, then choose Audio-Music from the Material Type drop-down list. Next, click on the "Limit/sort items retrieved using above data" button.
Once you find a CD you want, write down the call number and take it to the Circulation Desk. The Circulation staff will get the CD for you.

*DVDs and Videotapes have a three day checkout period. You may also use the DVD/ VCR players in the tutor rooms and study carrels on the second floor of the library.
