Three Race Events – Rain or shine, we run! 

That '80s Run will include 10K and 5K events, which are USATF certified courses and are chip timed. 10K route is flat to rolling through rural Cottleville and unincorporated St. Charles County. The 5K route and 1-Mile Fun Run route are on campus.

Run Details
  • The 10K is for runners only (please, no walkers in the 10K).
  • Jogging strollers are not allowed in the 10K race, but are permitted in the 5K.
  • Check out your competition – 2013 race results for 10K and 5K.

  • First Heat – Ages 11 and over.
  • Second Heat – ages 10 and under (parents may run with their children).
  • Jogging strollers are allowed in the Fun Run.
Entry Fee Includes
  • $100 cash prizes to first overall 10K men’s and women’s finishers.
  • $50 cash prizes to first overall 5K men’s and women’s finishers.
  • Medals to 10K and 5K age group winners (19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over).
  • Medals are also awarded to the first-place male and female finishers in these categories:
    • Current SCC Student
    • SCC Alumni
    • SCC Employee
  • Trophies to 1-Mile Fun Run age group winners (6 and under; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14).
  • Medals to 1-Mile Fun Run age group 15 and over.

Note: Dogs are prohibited on college properties (with the exception of support animals, see SCC Board Policy 303.1). SCC is a tobacco-free campus (see SCC Board Policy 482.1).

Runners Wishing to Change Their Race Event Registration

  • Deadline:  4 p.m. Friday, April 24
  • Call 636-922-8475 to request the change and have your race bib reissued.
    NOTE: Runners changing from the 1-Mile Fun Run to the 5K (or 10K) will need to pay an additional  registration fee.

Awards, Prizes & Scholarship Drawings (Campus Plaza Amphitheater)

The awards ceremony starts at approximately 10 a.m. starting with 1-Mile Fun Run results, followed by the 5K and 10K results. The drawings for the prize baskets (must be present to win) and the $1,000 scholarship to SCC will also be held during the ceremony.

Runners/walkers with a history of asthma should bring their inhalers with them on race day. Nursing students will be available at the first aid station to assist anyone with medical conditions.
