Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building.

Laclede
Quartet

3 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 16
The Laclede Quartet was founded in 1978 and has performed extensively
in the Midwest for the last 29 years. Its members have served as
Artists in Residence at the St. Louis History Museum and for St.
Charles Community College. The quartet’s four recording projects
have been featured on KFUO-FM Classic 99 as well as many other
local radio stations. Their performances have also been featured
on St. Louis’
PBS Channel 9.

City Ramblers |

Relive the golden age of Dixieland music. Feel the heat of the
sizzling hot sounds of riverboat jazz. The River City Ramblers
boast six of the finest traditional jazz players in the country.
Internationally known for their mixture of talent, wit, and entertaining
style, these bards delight and dazzle. In recent years, they have
enhanced their performances by adding blue-grass fiddle, additional
guitars, harmonica, and percussion to present a bright, full folk-country-rock
sound.

Corey
Christiansen Trio |

3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2
A native of Utah, Corey Christiansen has performed at many notable
festivals and venues and has conducted guitar clinics across the
country. Christiansen’s performance venues include the Smithsonian
Institute in Washington, D.C.; the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia,
Italy; the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival; and the St. Louis Jazz
Festival. He has also performed and/or recorded with outstanding
jazz artists such as Jimmy Bruno, John Pisano, Joe Negri, Willie
Akins, Chuck Redd, and Rob McConnell. |
Southeast
Baroque Quartet |

Specializing in the performance of Baroque and early classical
music on historical instruments, this ensemble has performed to
enthusiastic audiences throughout the Midwest. Enjoy the music
of Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, and other Baroque master composers performed
with the rich sonorities and crisp articulations of the 18th century
performed by one of Missouri's notable period-instrument groups. |
St.
Louis Chamber Orchestra |

3 p.m. Sunday, May 4
Having performed locally for more than a quarter century, the
Saint Louis Chamber Orchestra features 12 permanent members chosen
from the area’s finest string performers. Other players and guest
soloists are added on occasion to broaden and diversify the performing
repertoire. Through many seasons of collaboration, the orchestra
has become a very cohesive ensemble, and has earned high praise
from audiences and critics for its artistic sensitivity and lyrical
phrasing. |
