Each student will be taught a cutting of a song and will have to sing with a group of 5 kids on stage. They will also have to do a short reading and some basic movement exercises, depending upon the age of the student.

For the principal roles, students will be required to learn a brief tap combination, which we will teach. All students will be taught a dance and need to bring tap shoes or jazz shoes.
Anyone auditioning for a principal role will be required to prepare 16 to 32 measures or a 1-minute cutting of a Broadway rep song and bring an accompaniment CD. They will need to be able to sing on stage by themselves. Principal roles available:

Each student will need to prepare 16 to 32 measures or a 1-minute cutting of a Broadway rep song and bring an accompaniment CD. A dance will be taught so please bring jazz shoes. All those who tap should also bring tap shoes. Auditions will consist of the solo, dance, and readings. Students should be prepared to use many different character voices. No acappella songs will be allowed and no piano sheet music (CD must be provided by each student auditioning).

Sign-ups for mentoring of backstage and technical jobs

Students interested in learning various aspects of backstage work need to fill out a form stating their area of interest and have parent permission. All mentoring students must be 12 years of age or older. Students mentoring stagecraft must be 16 years of age in order to operate power tools. All students must be accepted into the mentoring program by the director and technical director, space is limited.
