Businesses – local or national, big or small – run on employees who need to be able to outperform global competitors. That is why receiving a college degree is no longer a question of if, but when.
However, for some students, this task seems insurmountable either on a financial or academic level. That is where the SCC Foundation can help. Individuals, corporations and civic organizations give gifts throughout the year so the Foundation can enhance the impact of SCC by providing scholarships and academic enhancements.
Even though SCC boasts one of the lowest tuition rates for accredited institutions in Missouri, it is still out of reach for many. That is why the SCC Foundation makes it a point to award between 80-100 scholarships every year. If you know someone who could benefit from a Foundation scholarship, check out our scholarship page for details and a few of our Success Stories.
SCC students transferring to four-year institutions consistently perform better than the transfer institution’s native students. One of the main reasons why this is possible is because of the dedicated faculty and staff who are focused on students being successful. Sometimes, though, they need instructional resources that cannot be covered in the annual budget. The SCC Foundation provides more than $50,000 in academic enhancements each year. Check out what has been awarded in the past and a few of our Success Stories.
Together we are training those who will teach our children, care for our sick and elderly, enforce our laws, operate and repair our computers and provide financial and business services.
