Back to Class

For more information on campus COVID-19 protocols, please see the FAQ’s below.
FAQs
From January 24 through February 6, lecture-based courses that were previously scheduled as in-person or hybrid for spring are now being moved temporarily to remote (synchronous) learning.
All workforce, healthcare, career and technical education lab, clinical and fieldwork courses, performance/studio-based courses in art, music, and theater; and science courses containing a lab (including lecture portions of classes attached to a lab) will continue to operate in-person.
For information regarding specific classes, students should check CANVAS.
On Monday, Feb. 28, SCC transitioned to a "Masks Welcome" policy. Following the CDC's new guidance based on COVID-19 Community Levels, masks will no longer be required on campus, but we will respect the personal choice of those that continue to wear masks.
The new COVID-19 Community Level guidance, provides levels of Low, Medium, and High based on hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and total number of new COVID-19 cases. St. Charles County, and the surrounding communities, are currently at the medium level.
At the medium level, the CDC suggests the following prevention steps should be taken:
- If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions
- Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
- Get tested if you have symptoms
Individuals may choose to wear a mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
SCC will continue to monitor the CDC guidance and the COVID-19 Community Levels for St. Charles County. Policies regarding masks on campus may change if the situation in our community changes. Please visit www.cdc.gov for the most up to date guidance.
Starting February 7, St. Charles Community College will begin offering in-person activities. The College will continue following all guidelines from the CDC and the local health department regarding social distancing and wearing masks. While theatre and music performances will happen in person on campus, seating may be limited. Student events and activities will also be designed with safety in mind.

Students can do that here.
The College recommends that faculty, staff and students follow current CDC guidelines regarding symptoms and exposure. View the guidelines here.
