Board of Trustees Scholarship Program

About the Scholarship Program
The Board of Trustees Scholarship Program is for students at St. Charles Community College who have demonstrated an academic aptitude. Recent high school and GED graduates, home schooled and existing St. Charles Community College students are all encouraged to apply.

Scholarship Award Amount
The Board of Trustees Scholarship Program is a tuition waiver that covers the in-district rate of tuition for up to four semesters (fall and spring only; summer excluded). Recipients who live out of district will need to pay the difference between the in-district and out-of-district rate. Scholarship does not cover fees.

Qualifying Criteria
Plan to attend SCC and meet one of the following:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • A score of 2700 on the GED Exam or a score of 68 on the HiSet exam
  • A score 23 or higher on the ACT

Renewing Criteria
The scholarship is automatically renewed for up to three additional semesters (excluding summer terms) if a 2.50 cumulative GPA is achieved and at least 6 credit hours are completed. If a student fails to enroll or complete 6 credit hours or their cumulative GPA drops below a 2.50, the student will forfeit his/her scholarship. If the student meets the 72 credit hour limit, the scholarship may be reduced or they will no longer be eligible for the award.
