Student Employment Opportunities

Students – Are you looking for a part-time job?

Many opportunities exist on campus in which you may earn a paycheck while becoming a valuable part of the campus community. St. Charles Community College has two student employment programs. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the fall/spring semesters. SCC also offers an off-campus referral service through Career Services.

Other Job Search Assistance at SCC

SCC Career Services counselors are available to assist you in resume and application assistance, mock interviewing and developing other work-related skills in order to be successful in your employment. To schedule an appointment with a career counselor, stop by Room 1204 in the Administration Building or call 636-922-8241.

Career Services at SCC has other great resources for students and alumni looking for jobs. Go to our free online job posting program, College Central Network, register, and then proceed to look at jobs that have been posted by employers within the community. If you are interested in any of these positions, you can apply directly.

Federal Work-Study Program

The Federal Work-Study Program is a form of federal financial aid that promotes part-time on-campus employment for students. Federal Work-Study is based on financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Departmental Job Program

The Departmental Job Program includes jobs that are not subsidized by Federal Work-Study funds and are open to all students, including international students on F-1 visa, regardless of financial aid status.

Description: Student will assist in promoting/publicizing the ESL program via social media & other methods.

Student Assistant - Spanish Tutor

Type: Part Time
Description: Tutor students who are taking Spanish courses at SCC.

Work Study - Accounting Tutor/Lab Assistant

Type: Part Time
Description: Monitor the open accounting lab and tutor students in accounting.

Work Study - Enrollment Services

Type: Part Time
Description: Assist with campus tours and special events.

Description: Student will assist with various projects in Enrollment Services

Work Study - Science

Description: Assist students with information, answer phone, assist Department Office Coordinator.

Description: Assist the Coordinating Counselor of Student Activities and the Student Activities Coordinator manage the daily operations of the office.

  • Submit a separate college employment application for each position for which you would like to apply.
  • Enter the position "Requisition No." on the employment application form.
