Employment highlights include working in the private weather industry. I was founder and CEO of Weather Guard, Inc. a manufacturer of insulation products. Weather Guard used recycled newsprint as a fiber source and was one of the largest users of recycled newsprint in the Midwest. Weather Guard was acquired by Louisiana-Pacific, a Fortune 500 building products company. At L-P I served as a Division Manger reporting to the CEO. The Division had plants in SanDiego California, St. Louis Missouri, Bucryus Ohio and Baltimore Maryland.

I left L-P to pursue my love of teaching. I taught at St. Louis Community College and Fontbonne University before taking my current position at St. Charles Community College. I have been a full time faculty member at SCC since 2000 and Chair of the Business and Computer Science Department from 2001 until 2019.  In 2019 I was appointed Professor Emeritus, Business Administration.
