Synopsis
This gripping play concerns Americans’ reaction to the murder of Matthew Shepard. In October of 1998, Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten, and left to die in Laramie, Wyoming. Kaufman and others went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews about the event, from which they wrote this play.
