Men's Head Soccer Coach
Location CC 104
Donnie Alberty officially became the second coach in St. Charles Community College Men's Soccer history when he took over the reins in March 2015. While the 2015 season will be Coach Alberty's first on the SCC sidelines, he is no stranger to the profession as this will be his 19th year of coaching. He looks to build on the solid foundation that has been laid in the six years that SCC has fielded a Men's Soccer team. The 2014 team went 9-6-1 and will return a solid nucleus of players to build around as the program continues to develop.
Coach Alberty was a standout player at Ritenour High School from 1987-1991 as a four-year varsity player, earning All-Conference honors in both his junior and senior seasons. From Ritenour, he went to East Central College, where he was a First-Team All-Conference and All-Region player for both seasons he played. After East Central, Alberty went onto Missouri Baptist University where he was a First-Team All-Conference player and All-Region player in both his junior and senior seasons. Alberty finished his playing career with a total of 47 goals and 22 assists. Upon completion of his playing career, he immediately joined the coaching staff at Missouri Baptist University, serving from 1996-1998. In 1999, Alberty joined the Windsor High School coaching staff where he served as the boy's JV coach and the girl's varsity head coach. In 2002, Alberty took advantage of a teaching opportunity to go to Logos High School. While at Logos, in addition to teaching social studies, Alberty served as the head soccer coach and college advisor for all college bound students and feels that this prepared him to re-enter the college coaching ranks. In 2012, he returned to Missouri Baptist University as the first assistant coach for the men's varsity team and the head coach of the reserve team.
Coach Alberty has also coached in numerous clubs in the St. Louis area including St. Louis Select, Club Athletic Premier, Elite F. C. and Metro Strikers and holds a USSF License with plans to earn higher certifications and badges.
Coach Alberty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Missouri Baptist University in 1997 and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in counseling degree from Missouri Baptist University. He lives in Lake St. Louis with his wife Tammy and children, Bryce and Abby.
