ACT Prep

Statistics show that test preparation is the key to higher ACT scores. The materials for this program were developed by Cambridge Education Services and are used throughout the country with an extraordinary success rate. Course highlights include, classroom lessons in ALL subject areas covered by the ACT, test-taking strategies, homework reinforcement modules that include simulated test problems, skill-building exercises including practice drills and remedial work, actual test simulation at the beginning of the course computer diagnostic assessment to identify weaknesses.

You CAN Do College Math!

Are you struggling to test into MAT 096 and beyond? Move up the math ladder with this hands-on, personalized class designed to help you overcome obstacles that have kept you from succeeding in the past. Topics include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages. Students work in small groups to master the topics they need. Build a foundation to master math!

Classes for Youth

Classes for youth are offered throughout the year. There is an offering that will appeal to all.

College for All Kids

Our summer  and spring break camp programs offer students the opportunity to explore areas of interest in a fun-filled, educational environment through engaging, hands-on experiences. Kids love our camps!

Homeschool Enrichment

The Homeschool Enrichment Program at St. Charles Community College is designed to supplement at-home school instruction. Classes are offered on weekdays and taught by experienced field professionals and experienced SCC teachers. Class sizes are limited to 15 students and subjects are age appropriate and organized by age group. Being involved in a Homeschool Enrichment class is a great way to enhance homeschool instruction.

The Homeschool Enrichment Program at SCC focuses on science and Lego Robotic Engineering classes and performing arts instruction. The science and Lego Robotic classes are taught by an experienced teacher who has taught in the S.E.M.A.A. (Science, Engineering, Math, Aerospace Academy) program that was sponsored by NASA. The Young People’s Theatre program focuses on theater education and performs three productions each year for students ages 8-18. YPT is celebrating it’s 26th anniversary and has homeschool members in the program.  Suzuki violin, private music lessons, ballet, jazz and modern dance classes for homeschool students are also offered. Suzuki Music Instruction

Suzuki is a distinct method of string instruction for children ages three years old and older where they learn by listening, imitating and watching others.

Young People's Theatre

Young People's Theatre offers quality family theater productions. SCC's Young People's Theatre offers children and young adults ages 8-18 the opportunity to learn all aspects of theater production through a variety of classes and participation in live theater productions.
