When Olivia Jordan isn’t in class, you can find her tending goal. Playing soccer since she was eight, Olivia knows the importance of team camaraderie. 

“When I was applying for schools, I wasn’t looking to play for the best team in the nation,” Olivia said. “I simply wanted to be a part of a team and do what I love.” 

Olivia had heard that SCC had a very successful team the last few years and that a new coach would be leading the team. 

“I had nothing but high hopes for his coaching ability to lead us to success.” 

Olivia credits long bus rides with great music and lots of laughs for helping them play and communicate better as a team.

The team ultimately captured its fourth consecutive NJCAA Region XVI title, and Olivia took home the NJCAA All Region XVI First-Team award.   

Off the field, Olivia is completing general education courses and taking extra human service classes to help her in her future career.

“My dream career is one where I can directly impact the lives of others in a positive matter. I have two careers in mind: pediatric speech therapist or youth service specialist.”

In the meantime, some accomplishments Olivia hopes to achieve are landing internships, working summer camps and planning for a mission trip with a local church.
